Outlook Calendar
Here's how to add a shared Capacitly calendar using Microsoft Outlook on your iPhone.
Heads up! The Outlook app on your phone doesn't support adding calendar subscriptions by URL directly. No big deal though! You just need to add it through Outlook on the web, and it'll sync right to your app.
Steps
- Open Safari (or any browser) on your iPhone, or use a computer.
- Go to outlook.live.com (or outlook.office.com for work or school accounts) and sign in.
- If you're doing this on your phone, make sure you're viewing the desktop version of the site. In Safari, tap the aA button in the address bar and choose Request Desktop Website. In Chrome, tap the three dot menu and choose Desktop site.
- Click the Calendar icon in the navigation.
- Click Add calendar.
- Select Subscribe from web.
- Paste the subscription link into the URL field.
- Give the calendar a name (something like "Boy's Basketball Schedule") and click Import.
The subscribed calendar will sync to your Outlook app on your iPhone automatically. You're all set!
Don't see the events? Sometimes the new calendar doesn't show up as visible by default in the Outlook app. Open the Outlook app, tap the Calendar tab, then tap your profile icon or the calendar list icon. Look for the new calendar and make sure the toggle next to it is turned on.
Tip: This is honestly easiest on a computer if you have one handy. Just head to outlook.live.com (or outlook.office.com for work or school), open Calendar, click Add calendar, select Subscribe from web, and paste your link. It'll sync right to your phone.
How to Unsubscribe
- Go to outlook.live.com or outlook.office.com.
- Open Calendar.
- Right-click (or long press) the subscribed calendar in the sidebar.
- Select Remove.
